Boat Signage & Graphics: Your Questions Answered

Marine signage is a niche specialty and it’s one we’ve been perfecting for almost 25 years. At Go Graphics, we design, produce, and install boat signage and graphics for both private vessel owners and the commercial marine industry in Perth.

Whether it’s a sleek hull wrap, bold branding, or a standout boat name, here are answers to the questions we’re most often asked.

What type of boat signage services do you offer?

We’re your signage pit crew, ready to kit out your vessel from bow to stern. Our services include custom boat wraps and hull graphics, boat name signage and registration numbers, pinstriping and manufacturer logos (Trailcraft, Quintrex etc.) and one-off designs that make your boat stand out on the water. From subtle decals to full branded boat wraps, we deliver bold, professional marine graphics that turn heads for all the right reasons.

What type of materials are used for marine signage?

We don’t mess around with low-quality materials. Every project is crafted using premium marine-grade films such as Avery Dennison®, engineered for UV stability, colourfastness, and saltwater toughness. For 3D boat names or branding, we use premium acrylic and 316-grade stainless steel – built for style and strength in marine environments.

Where do you install boat signage?

Every installation is handled by our Avery Accredited® team so your finish doesn’t just look sharp, it stays sharp. For trailer boats, we complete installs at our Perth workshop. For larger vessels, we come to you – on hardstands, in marinas, or even afloat where access allows. Wherever your boat is, we’ll get it looking its best.

Can I customise everything – even the tiniest detail?

Absolutely. Every project is 100% custom. Fonts, colours, finishes, layout – every detail is tailored to your vessel’s shape and personality. Our in-house designers understand what looks great on the water and how to make your graphics flow seamlessly with your hull lines. No cookie-cutter templates here – just smart design, precise execution, and boat signage that feels truly yours.

How long will my boat signage last?

Our vinyl graphics are engineered to resist UV and saltwater. Our acrylic and stainless-steel lettering offer exceptional long-term durability. Nothing lasts forever at sea, but with our quality materials, skilled installation, and proper care, your boat signage will stay looking sharp for years to come. Longevity greatly depends on materials, exposure and maintenance – but our graphics are built to endure.

What’s the best way to care for marine signage?

Caring for your marine graphics is the key to long-lasting results. Rinse regularly by hand with fresh water to remove salt and grime. Clean gently using mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid high-pressure cleaning, abrasive tools or harsh chemicals. A little TLC goes a long way in keeping your boat signage looking its best.

How do I prepare my vessel for installation?

A clean, dry surface is essential for a flawless finish. Before installation, wash your vessel thoroughly to remove any salt, wax, or residue; and ensure the surface is dry and free of polish.
