For small vehicle decals and stickers
- The application surface must be free of dirt, grime, oil and polish. Clean with a mild solvent based product such as Turps or Prepsol and allow to dry before commencing application.
- Remove backing paper from the vinyl graphic and place lightly in position (a small amount of water can be sprayed onto the surface to prevent immediate adherence). Make sure that it is in the correct spot and the text is straight.
- Using a squeegee (or credit card or similar may be sufficient), remove all air from beneath the vinyl. Work from the centre of the graphic and take the shortest possible path to the edge. Remove pre-mask and clean if necessary.
- If you are left with bubbles in the vinyl, they can be lightly pricked with a scalpel or similar to dispel trapped air.
