Vehicle Signage: Your Questions Answered
For more than 25 years, Go Graphics has helped Western Australian businesses bring their brands to life through high‑quality vehicle signage crafted to perform and designed to be remembered. We’ve put together answers to the most commonly asked questions – covering everything from signage lifespan to turnaround times, warranty info and how to care for your vehicle graphics. Whether you’re branding a single vehicle or building a fleet, this guide gives you a clear understanding of what to expect.

How does the design process work?
Go Graphics’ design process is unique in that you get to work directly with our in-house vehicle graphic designers. It begins with a conversation where they get to understand exactly what you want from your vehicle signage. Throughout the process, they guide you step by step drawing on the team’s 25 years of vehicle graphic design expertise to ensure an outcome that you love. They develop initial concepts, send proofs for review and refine the artwork based on your feedback. If there’s anything you don’t like, we make the necessary adjustments within our standard revision rounds to ensure the final design aligns with your vision before it goes to print. Being able to connect with our design team via phone, email or in person at our office is an important aspect of our service as The Creative Signmaker.
How long does vehicle signage last?
To maximise longevity of your vehicle graphics, Go Graphics use only premium, high-quality vinyl suited to Western Australia’s climate conditions and installed by our accredited team. Generally, our clients find their graphics looking fresh and bold for anything up to 5 years – but it really depends on a variety of factors such as how you use the car, where you park it during the day and overnight, and how you clean the vehicle. Vertical surfaces maintain their longevity the best, while horizontal surfaces such as bonnets and roofs naturally weather faster due to stronger sun exposure. Window graphics such as one‑way vision usually have a shorter lifespan because of direct heat on glass, often needing a refresh after a year or two.
With simple care, your branding can maintain its sharp, vibrant finish. Check out our vehicle signage after-care advice.
How does the process work from quote to installation?
Our process is straight-forward and collaborative from start to finish. Your project begins with a conversation with your account manager, where we discuss your goals, messaging and brand direction, then prepare a free tailored quote. Once you’re ready to proceed and a deposit has been paid, we create your project in our system. You’ll work directly with an in‑house vehicle graphic designer who will work with you to develop concepts and refine the artwork until it aligns with what you envision. After final design approval, we confirm colour accuracy and print your graphics in‑house using high‑quality materials. When everything is ready, our installation team books your preferred install date at our workshop. We keep you updated at every stage, so the project moves smoothly from first discussion to final installation.
Do you offer a warranty on vehicle signage?
We offer a limited warranty on all vehicle signage that covers defects in materials and installation. Vertical surfaces are covered for 24 months, horizontal surfaces for 12 months, and one‑way vision films for 6 months due to their higher UV exposure and perforated structure. These warranty periods apply to issues such as peeling, curling, shrinking, cracking and fading, and ensure your graphics perform as expected throughout their intended lifespan.

Will it damage my car, and can the graphics be removed in the future?
Properly installed vehicle graphics will not damage vehicle paint. We use high‑quality vinyl films and professional installation techniques, so the material adheres cleanly and lifts away without harming the surface. Yes, the graphics can be safely removed at any time if you decide to sell your vehicle or update your branding. It is recommended not to leave vehicle graphics past their intended lifespan because once vinyl becomes cracked or faded, it is harder to remove and has a higher chance of leaving ghosting on the paint.
How long does the process take and how long will you need my vehicle?
You’ll first hear from an account manager within 24-48 hours with your quote. Once approved, our art room will be in touch within a week to begin the design stage. Turnaround times vary depending on the complexity of vehicle graphics, with spot graphics generally moving faster than partial or full wraps. After your artwork is finalised, it moves into production, and our installation team will contact you to arrange a booking that works around your schedule. Installation times differ based on the scope of the project and can range from a couple of hours for spot graphics, half a day to a full day for partial wraps, and up to three days for a full vehicle wrap. These timeframes are indicative only, as every vehicle and project is unique.
What info do you need to provide a quote?
We provide a tailored quote based on a few key details. This includes your vehicle’s make, model, year and body type, and photos are helpful if you can provide them. We also consider the condition of the car, such as paint issues, rust, damage or existing graphics that need to be removed. Your goals and desired coverage help us understand the scope, whether you’re after a full wrap, partial wrap or spot decals. You can also provide any logo and brand assets you have. All these details help us create an accurate and tailored quote.
Our team has spent decades refining a process that’s collaborative, transparent and focused on delivering long‑lasting, high‑impact results. These FAQs cover the essentials, but your project is always tailored to your vehicle, your brand and your goals. If you’re ready to begin or want to explore options, your account manager can walk you through quoting, design, and installation so you feel confident from first conversation to final reveal.
